Advisory Board Member
Mr. Lance Drummond is a senior level business leader with multi-industry and international experience specializing in business transforming strategy development and execution, and organizational change for business-to-business and business-to-consumer Fortune 500 companies with demonstrated success in manufacturing and financial services industries.
Mr. Drummond is currently the Executive-in-Residence at Christopher Newport University’s Luter School of Business where he teaches the Fundamentals of Business course, performs outreach and networking to invite and arrange for Executives to participate in the Luter Lecture Series. Additionally, he guest lectures, participates in student conferences, provides career and professional development coaching, organizes informal lunches for students to discuss major national and global topics.
Mr. Drummond recently retired from TD Canada Trust where he was Executive Vice President of Operations and Technology and led a team of associates who delivered personal and small business loan underwriting, funding, discharges, deposit operations, fraud management, collections, digitization and image transformation, service quality (Lean Six Sigma) and project management office services for Canadian Banking including retail, business and wealth.
Prior to joining TD, he was Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Shared Services at Fiserv, Inc. In this role, he led the human resources function and was responsible for performance management, leadership development and culture, compensation and benefits, and related strategies for Fiserv’s 20,000 employees. Additionally, he oversaw many of the company’s shared services, including Fiserv Global Services 2,800 employees located in India and Costa Rica, Procurement and Corporate Real Estate. Lance joined Fiserv in April 2009 and led its data analytics start-up initiative.
Before to joining Fiserv, Mr. Drummond served as the Global Consumer and Small Business Banking eCommerce/ATM executive at Bank of America where he managed the No. 1 consumer online bank, which has the most online banking customers in the world – more than 30 million active online subscribers and 15 million bill payers and over 7 million mobile subscribers. Prior to this role, he served as the Service and Fulfillment Operations executive for Global Technology and Operations.
Mr. Drummond began his career at Eastman Kodak Company, where he held several senior management positions including Divisional Vice President and General Manager Dental Products, Divisional Vice President and Regional General Manager Professional Products – Latin American Region, Corporate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Professional Products Division.
Mr. Drummond earned a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Boston University, and MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester, and Master of Science degree in management science from MIT. He received the MIT Sloan Fellowship in 1994 and the Aspen Institute’s Henry Crown Fellowship in 1998.
He is a Board Member of Freddie Mac, a Trustee of the University of Rochester, a Board Member of Garth Fagan Dance Company, founder of Dreamseeds – a children’s performing arts program at Sojourner House in Rochester, NY. He was recipient of the Rochester Area Community Foundation Award in 2000, and Rochester Mayor Unsung Heroes Award in 2001. He received the University of Rochester Simon Business School Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2005 and Charlotte American Diabetes Association Father of the Year in 2005.
